Kinders as Farmers

Too cute! The kinders performed at the assembly and since they were learning about Farm animals. . .they were dressed like farmers! I LOVED it!

Chloe and Derek are too short for Indiana Jones. This is the ONLY ride they are not tall enough for at Disneyland. Ben's sister Sara came too. This was her first time at Disneyland as well. It was nice to see Ben. Who doesn't enjoy Autopia? As a kid I remember thinking this was the sweetest ride cause I learned how to drive. Small world is a must for first timers. Brayden was the birthday boy and so desperately wanted to go on this ride. Can you guess what it is? Not Pirates, nope not Haunted Mansion, not even Nemo, it's the Monorail. . . Ben treated us to lunch. Thanks Uncle Ben!

Field Trip time

Doug went with Preston's class to the Aquarium of the Pacific! Fun!
The kids learn about tide pools. From left to right: Ryan Bentley, Preston, Taylor Cowell, Jackie, and Annson (or Airron) Hood. I know I can't tell them apart unless they are together--sorry.

Taylor, Preston, and Chris with a sea urchin or puffer fish. Man, looks like I need to go to the aquarium to do some learning...hint hint. LOL.

Chloe Lamb and Isaiah Banks check out a shark's jaws

Um YES Daniel, that shark would've been able to bite you in half

Doug shows us that this shark really got around. Ha ha, I'm so funny.

Crush? Is that you?

Bam (Ulysses), Kevin Cunningham, and Preston. Pals.

Bowling is always a Ball!

Wahoo! Melanie and I treated the kids to some bowling fun! I know we are super cool moms. Just check out our bowling action--we have some mighty moves. Oh yeah. The kids had so much fun. Derek and Clover bowled with the pusher thing. I think Chloe and Cole did more talking than bowling. Preston chilled and bowled really well. I think he won out of the kids. We all had fun.

Party Girl

Chloe's birthday party was pretty fun. We enjoyed some games (Halloween type since the "mystery" took place on Halloween), watched and solved the mystery, and ate some dessert. Instead of a cake we had a more diabetic friendly Strawberry Truffle. Yummy.

The mummy game (I loved that Kailyn came dressed up as Kit)

We all had a great time! Thanks everyone for coming!

Chloe is 6!

Chloe's birthday was on Sunday. Our friend had given us two free tickets to California Adventure at Disneyland. Doug told me this would be the perfect chance to use them. Preston had spent the night at his friend's house and so I just had Chloe and Derek at home. Doug said, "take those tow to Disney since Chloe is free on her birthday." Alright, we did it, we skipped church and everything. How naughty! The 3 of us headed out to Disneyland. We had to park in a far parking lot so we got to ride the bus to the park. Chloe and Derek thought this was so fun. I would've thought it was more fun if the bus driver hadn't almost ran over a 80 yr old woman with a walker. He tapped her walker with the bus and knocked her over. Then he didn't even get out to help her. in fact tons of people just kept walking by. People on the bus asked to get out to help her but the driver said no. Finally, a nice lady came to help her and get her out of the street (I think the bus driver's honking--yes, he was HONKING because the woman was in the way of the bus---finally got someone's attention). Geez. After that little mishap, all went well. Luckily, Chloe and Derek were too excited to notice what was going on. That and they were so short they couldn't see out the front windows. Right when we got into the park (Chloe got her birthday button first) they were blocking the main street in California Adventure for a parade. We had no idea what parade it was but decided since we couldn't walk past it we'd sit and watch it. We got front row seats. Turns out they were the best seats in the house almost. We sat and ate our sandwiches.Awesome that Disneyland lets you bring in food now huh? YES! Much more affordable to go there now. As soon as we'd eaten a few bites this came by HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3! What luck! My kiddos LOVE that movie. They had no problem dancing and singing along. Then we went and rode on Derek's new favorite ride "Soarin' Over California". I love this ride. We only had to wait about 8 minutes to get on the ride too. Not bad.
We spent most of our time at Bug's Land.
We totally just took it easy all day. We cruised over to Bear Mountain and hung out for awhile. Chloe did some rock climbing
and Derek did some rock sitting I didn't rush the kids because we were planning on going to Disneyland with my sister and her kids at the end of the month. They were going to come and spend 3 days there and I told her we'd go once with her. We ran into some people who were talking about upgrading their passes. We discovered we could upgrade all three of our passes to annual passes for cheaper than one 1 day pass. I called Doug to ask what I should do and he said "DO it." So we headed over to the ticket booths and got annual passes! We had to go inside Disneyland to get our pictures taken for our passes so we spent the rest of the time there. This saved us so much money (the annual passes) since we were going to go back so soon. Chloe had an amazing birthday day!

Come one, come all!

It's birthday time! Wahoo! Chloe is turning 6! Come join the fun.......

Sierra Vista Days

Seems like we've been spending a lot of time at good 'ol SV this month. Chloe and her classmate (and friend) both won in the pageant. Chloe for Upland and Larissa for Ontario. Since they are in the same class at school they wanted to wear their crowns to school and show Mrs. Brown. The two girls were so excited!! They wore their crowns and sashes to school and got to "share" with their class. After sharing Jenny (Larissa's mom) and I took their crowns back home so the girls wouldn't e disruptive with them for the rest of the day. Mrs. Benson, the school principal, promised the students that if they tried hard and earned High Five awards she would be cut in half by a magician. The kids were successful so the magical day came. I didn't get too many great pictures because unlike everyone else who was OVERJOYED to see their principal sawed in two pieces my kids were TERRIFIED. Really, really horrified in fact. They did not want her to get hurt. So for a majority of the show my youngest 2 were shrieking and crying and running. I did manage to get a picture of Isaiah being a helper on the stage for the Magician during one trick. And a pretty lame pic of Mrs. Benson and the Magician before he sawed her.

Miss Upland

A very tired girl......(it was a long day):

Yay! Chloe did it again! She was crowned Mini Miss Upland! She was so excited! Her friends Clover and Larissa were also crowned! This made for a really fun day! She won Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Eyes, Prettiest Smile, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Upland! Wahoo!
Here is a picture of her hairdo that I did (for my mom):

Our neighbor Marissa came to support Chloe. Even though the pageant was long (and kinda boring) Marissa didn't complain. She was a real sport was so happy Chloe won in her division. What a great friend!

The three little friends: Samantha Drew (last year's queen), Clover Caldwell, and Chloe Farnsworth!
