Over the Hump Series

Doug started Mountain Bike Racing this year and has done well. He heard about a series that races on Tuesday nights and decided to give it a try. The kids were excited that there was a kid race too. The kid race is NOT like the one in Fontana though. Oh, no. In Irvine they have the kids race on the actual race course. So Preston and Chloe rode the same course Doug did. Complete with switchbacks, steep downhill, and lots of single track. Crazy huh? They rode 1/4 of the race that Doug did. The kid portion was about 2 miles. Preston finished in 8th place overall and Chloe finished first in the girls! They BOTH did so well it was crazy! We were so proud!

Doug started out so great in the race. He came around the track the first time and was in 4th place. I was excited! Then I got a call from Doug and he had to do this: His chain broke! I was so sad. He still finished the race though! And he didn't even come in last! LOL!

Quakes Game

Chloe's cheer leading group got to cheer at the Quakes game. Chloe was beyond excited for this! Preston and Derek were just happy that they were going to be able to see a Quakes game. The game got pretty intense at the end which made watching the game so incredible! The Quakes won too! Yay! When we first go to the game, Preston spotted his little crush, Julianna (she is the one in white in the back row on the left). She is in the dance group from the same studio so she was performing too. This made Preston super excited! Preston's friend Ryan went too so Preston bounced back and forth between our seats and Ryan's seats all night. Derek was so excited that we were their on Family Night and all the goodies were only a dollar. He ate 3 ice cream sandwiches I believe and even bought his own cotton candy. He was very proud to buy it himself! Ha ha.

Chill Day

Today we went to my Aunt Carin's house and kicked it at her house for awhile. Chloe, Carin, Stephie and I headed to the beach for a little bit. I couldn't believe the boys didn't want to go. They wanted to stay and hang out with the dogs. Afterward Carin took us to a cool Mexican Restaurant and treated us to lunch. This was a great chill day for us!
