The short bus came today and officially parked itself. Chloe has a brand new helmet to prove it. She gets to tromp around in it until AFTER the first week of school. "Oh here, new Kindergarten teacher, here is our daughter Chloe. She has a broken skull and she is diabetic. Have a fun time with her." That teacher won't be afraid of her or anything. Ha ha.
So Doug's friend is going to make her some sweet stickers to "jazz" up the helmet a bit. He's making one that says "short bus not included" and another that says "Caution: Head trauma may cause Rudeness to occur." We think we are funny. These pics of Chloe in her helmet are going to be some serious jokes later on in life. "Oh, you want to date my daughter huh? Were you aware that she used to ride the short bus?" Or I can see her High School yearbook now with short bus photos plastered in the Seniors section. We'll stick the Dunce cap pics for that too. Ah, we are good parents.
Chloe's head is protected now. Her doctor is much happier now. He still checks in everyday and what not. So now I have another summer goal: Take pics of Chloe sporting a helmet at as many places as I can. For memories sake of course.
I didn't know Chloe was diabetic!
